Queries and Plans

A few queries:

1. The query addressed in the previous post - whether or not to add in that extract.
2. Is there too much literary content in my essay and not enough historical. Or in other words is it more of an english essay than a history essay?

Other random stuff you should take note of:

I plan to add in more historical information that is conveyed through his work such as the mention of negroes in What I Saw of Shiloh, which is a story but not fictional. It is more of a recount.

I plan to add more content from other sources about Bierce's stories.

I plan to add a reference to The Damned Thing, because I can.

I plan to analyse the other sources and Bierces's work on a historical note.
